Knowledge to make a difference As a brand, our inspiration comes from the great environmental challenges facing humanity. It’s really just that simple. It all comes down to being aware of the impact we have on our Earth. That the choice is ours. And that we can and need to make changes. We say it’s time to take action.  KnowledgeCotton Apparel is not a traditional fashion company. It was never easy for us to find producers and factories that had the same mindset. It’s still not easy. But when we do, we create something unique. A feeling of being in this together.  Let’s be clear about one thing. Driving this business was always about believing that we can make a difference. And this belief has taken us far. Today our mission is not as lonely as it once was. Businesses are beginning to address important issues. People are starting to consider what is reasonable to consume. Though there’s still so much to improve in this industry, we feel something has happened. There’s a growing interest from colleagues in the business to embrace at least parts of the work. And customers have opened up. The new awareness is a power we cannot deny.  As a company we are determined to continue to challenge the conventions in the textile industry, to be on the lookout for new innovations and to stay true to our vision.  There’s no other way going forward.

KnowledgeCotton Apparel has taken a significant step towards sustainable fashion by replacing conventional polybags with VELA™ paper bags for all their product packaging. This initiative is part of the brand’s broader commitment to reducing its environmental impact and embracing circular, planet-friendly alternatives. VELA paper bags are made from sustainably sourced, FSC-certified paper and are fully recyclable, offering a responsible alternative to single-use plastic polybags, which are commonly used across the fashion industry. Unlike polybags, which often end up in landfills or the ocean due to low recycling rates, VELA bags are designed to be part of a circular system, minimizing waste and pollution. By shifting to VELA bags, KnowledgeCotton Apparel not only addresses the issue of plastic waste but also promotes transparency and traceability in its supply chain. These paper bags are produced using low-impact processes that align with the company’s goals for carbon reduction and ethical sourcing. This packaging shift reflects KnowledgeCotton Apparel’s ongoing dedication to sustainable innovation, and sets an example for how fashion brands can rethink every aspect of their operations—from materials to packaging—to build a more sustainable future.
