As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation, Seaman Paper has partnered with global fashion brand Mango to eliminate single-use plastics across international supply chains. At the heart of this collaboration is Vela™, a recyclable, paper-based alternative to traditional plastic polybags.

From Vision to Impact

Since 2020, Mango and Seaman Paper worked across Turkey, China, Portugal, Bangladesh, Spain, India, and Vietnam. By 2024, Vela™ bags eliminated more than 76.7 million plastic polybags from Mango's supply chain. Over 66% of folded garments now arrive in FSC™-certified Vela™ bags.
