As its e-commerce presence expanded, packaging surfaced as an important opportunity for improvement. While the clothing itself met high sustainability standards, the protective packaging still relied heavily on plastic polybags, a material that no longer aligned with Pact's long-term vision for a cleaner, more responsible supply chain.

The Packaging Challenge

Like many apparel companies, Pact depended on single-use plastic polybags to keep garments protected from dust, moisture and handling during transit. Functionally, they worked. But strategically, they didn't. The plastic contradicted the brand's commitment to minimizing waste and complicated end-of-life disposal for customers and partners.

Implementation: From Testing to Full Rollout

After selecting Vela™ as its preferred alternative to plastic polybags, Pact began introducing the new paper bags across its fulfilment operations. Once validated, Pact started integrating the new packaging across its logistics workflow.
